How we handle information on luxonbrand.com — and how the LuxOnBrand product keeps your customers' data private by design.
1. Information we collect on this site
When you use luxonbrand.com — especially the "Get Started" / contact form — we collect what you choose to give us:
- Details you submit: your name, email, website URL, business type, the plan or option you're interested in, and your message.
- Basic technical data: a timestamp, your approximate region (derived from your IP address), and general device/browser information, used to operate and secure the site.
- Anti-spam signals: lightweight checks (such as a hidden honeypot field and a form-timing value) that help us block automated spam.
2. How we use your information
We use it to respond to your request and follow up, to operate and secure the website, to prevent abuse and spam, and to improve LuxOnBrand. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
3. Cookies & analytics
We use only the cookies needed to run the site and, where enabled, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Where a consent banner is shown, non-essential analytics run only in line with your choice, and we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal.
4. How the LuxOnBrand product handles data
This is the part people ask about most, so we'll be direct. LuxOnBrand is private by design:
- Your content stays with you. When Lux is installed on a business's website, that site's content and Lux's retrieval index live in the business's own website database — not ours.
- Only usage counts cross to us. To meter plans and verify entitlements, limited usage telemetry (like conversation counts) is shared with LuxOnBrand — never the content of your visitors' conversations.
- AI processing. To generate a reply, the visitor's message and relevant site content are sent through our secured inference service to our AI model provider (OpenAI), which acts as our processor to produce the response. We don't sell this data or use it to build advertising profiles.
- Keys are protected. Model-provider credentials live only in our secured service — never on client websites, and never in code shared with clients.
- No sensitive/health data. Lux is for marketing and general business information. Please don't enter sensitive personal or health information into a chat; the standard product is not intended to process it.
5. Sharing & service providers
We share information only with service providers who help us operate — for example our hosting/infrastructure provider and our AI model provider (OpenAI) — and only as needed to provide the service. We may also disclose information if required by law.
6. Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law. Contact and lead details are retained according to our normal business record practices; you can ask us to delete yours at any time.
7. Your rights & choices
You can email hello@luxonbrand.com to ask what information we hold about you, to request a correction or deletion, or to ask us not to contact you further. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, which we will honor as required.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.
9. Children
Our website is intended for businesses and adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
